Blown Away

Hi - today I have my final House Mouse card to show you as a guest designer for them. I have made 4 cards over the last two months and had such a lovely time designing with their wonderful stamps. It gave me an excuse to buy a few more lol. The challenge this fortnight is to use the weather as a basis for your entry. Please nip over to Housemouse-challenge/its-all-about-weather  and check out all the design teams cards, there's some great ones.
This stamp is a Happy Hopper called "Gone with the Wind". It has been very windy here lately so this seemed very appropriate. I used my deckle edge blade and a Tim Holtz ink to distress the edge. The image is coloured using copics.
The flowers are made using a Memory Box die - Pinwheel posy and my tonic studio petal pair punches. The grass is made with another die. To finish I added a sentiment from the HobbyHouse and 3 brads - butterfly and  dragonflies.

Hi - its time for another challenge over at Rubys Rainbow. This fortnight the challenge is "Round" so any creation including circles.
This stamp is an old favourite by Sugar Nellie - called Cheddar. I coloured it using copics and used my circle spellbinders to showcase my image x

90 Years Young!

Hi - here is a card I made for a very special lady who is soon to turn 90! She is one of my friends mum and feel very honoured to have made her card for her.
The image I printed from a Joanna Sheen -cd - cottage garden. I used Martha Stewart punches to create the butterfly surround. The flowers are from a pad by Craftwork Cards called Glitter Candy Cane. I stamped the 90 using some Crystal Clear Stamps by Melissa Frances. I used Tim Holtz inks to distress the edge of the card and the butterflies.
I so hope she will love it as a special birthday deserves a special card xxx

Spring is in the Air

Time for another challenge over at House Mouse and this fortnight our challenge is "Spring".
This seems very appropriate as at last this weekend we saw some sunshine and I even got washing dried on the line! This is my third card as a guest designer for the House Mouse team and I am loving joining their team xx

My image is from the House Mouse Spring collection called "Crocus". Just love how this little mouse is helping brighten up the flowers. I used a spellbinders die to showcase the image in and copics to colour the image. I inked the edges using a VersaMagic lilac chalk ink.
The sentiment is stamped using a Daisy and Dandelion stamp and another spellbinders die. The butterfly is is cut using a Cherry Lynn die - "Exotic Butterfly". The bow is tied using some net but I have no idea what it is called. I have the net in about 8 different colours and just love it. I added some tiny gems around the image border and the contrasting purple spotty ribbon and flowers.

Happy Birthday

Hi - time for another challenge over at Rubys Rainbow. This fortnight is "Birthdays". Its 2 years since these challenges started so congratulations and Happy Birthday!
My card I made is for a young girl.
My image is a Sassy Cheryl one entitled "Play Dr Seuss". All the Dr Seuss books where favourites in our house but especially the Cat in the Hat so I just had to have this image. I coloured with copics in various shades of orange and purple. I then used an oval die to showcase her on.
I have recently purchased some label dies and am having fun making different sentiments for cards. Here are 2 of my recent ones. I'm hoping to save money in the long time lol! I added card candy around the image and tied some contrasting twine at the bottom.
